Haven't had time to really write in here or review the kick ass final few episodes of Veronica Mars due to work and school, but couldn't help but jump for joy at this little tidbit from this week's Chat With Kristin regarding just who is at Veronica's door( ... )

While I'm waiting for VM 121 to DL I just checked out UPN's website to see if they've updated the sneak peek file - and they have!! There's the opening scene from "Leave It To Beaver" and it is crazy stuff. I think it's obviously a red herring, but you never know. Too good to even spoil!!! That and I have to go to sleep if there's any hope of not being late for work.
I love this show!!

So the good news of course is that Veronica Mars has been renewed for a second season!! Hurrahhh!!! This is so great because I can't think of a show that deserves it more. Great writing, acting, plots, and attention to detail. Let's hope more people start tuning in! Heck, the show doesn't even air where I live and I still manage to watch!
The bad news is, I have 3 exams next week that I can't bring myself to crack open a book for. Which results in me hitting refresh on my email account about every 30 seconds, a lot of sitting around on my ass, and a chance for me to catch up on "Lost" and "Alias" episodes I've downloaded but have yet to watch. Laziness is a disease, I swear! And mine's terminal.
So instead of doing something about it, I will add my two cents in regarding the "Who killed Lilly Kane?" mystery.
( Speculation abounds! )
I know the procrastination is only going to get worse as a new "Gilmore Girls" airs this next week, as well as tomorrow's "Veronica Mars", complete with some Logan/Veronica goodness from the looks/sounds of it!

I officially have no willpower. I totally caved in and watched "Kanes and Abel's" even though I told myself I wouldn't until I got home from my exam later tonight. I'm such a sucker. I will reserve my review for later tonight though, if only because my internet is crawling along at an impossibly slow speed. For now, a 'hee' goes out to Couch Baron over at TWoP for this comment:
"Of all the people I was hoping would show up again, the cast of Home Improvement wasn't on the list.
Ahhh off to school, cause I'm no fool. No studying to be done here.

So while everyone else is watching Veronica Mars on TV, my fellow Canadians (or, at least Torontonians) and I must wait for it to appear in torrent format. Boourns. All I can say is I hope all you people know how lucky you are! Especially those of you with those stupid Nielson ratings boxes. You'd better be tuning in. Thank goodness for BitTorrent though or else I never would have been able to enjoy this damn fabulous show. I'm so impatient to watch it, I know I'm going to be hitting refresh until I see it pop up.
( What I love about this show is... )
I know I officially sound like a loser now but give me a break, what else am I going to do until I can download and watch the new episode? Study for exams?

"At my old school, I was Horny." The long wait, finally over, and Veronica Mars did not disappoint!! This episode marked the triumphant return of the show, filled with plenty of snark, mystery, and heartache. 7 episodes to go until we find out: Who killed Lilly Kane, what happened the night Veronica was raped, who Veronica's father is, and what really happened to Lynn Echolls. Maybe all that collagen in her lips served as a floating device and she's alive and well, sipping cocktails in Mexico...
So, I know a new episode is airing tonight, but the above paragraph is about as far as I got in my review last week before laziness overtook me. Better late than never, right? Besides, it's not like I didn't spend the last week repeatedly re-watching the episode and checking the web for spoilers like a maniac...*looks away*
( More Betty & Veronica... )
So if Veronica's Veronica and Betty, does that make Logan Archie and Duncan Jughead? Or the other way around? LOL

I just finished betaing chapter 12 of Kismet for Stef as well as a new GG ficlet of hers called Big Bad Wolf. I swear, this girl makes me simultaneously proud to be a beta, and ashamed to be a writer all at the same time. Chapters move along nicely and don't feel contrived or slow, a nice mix of R/L action, as well as secondary characters and relationships.
But this ficlet. *fans self* Hose me down sister, cause it was too hot to handle. This is me, officially pimping it to anyone who reads my LJ. I'll be adding a link to it tomorrow once she posts it. It's just a short Rory/Logan Gilmore Girls fic that has great pacing and tone to it. Gave me tingles.
Call me biased, I don't care.
ETA: Warning, it may be a bit steamy for some: Big Bad Wolf

Okay, so I know I need to get a life and stop being such a fiction/spoiler hussy, but I can't help it!! Life is never really this interesting so I must live vicariously. This week's "Watch With Kristin" had some spoilers for Alias, Lost, The OC, and of course, Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. Nothing major but just reinforced some aforementioned hints.

TV Gal had this to say about Alias and it SO describes what I've been feeling:
"I had this revelation last week: I still really like "Alias" (Wednesday, ABC, 9 p.m.), but I'm not having the love affair I once did with the show. For instance, I had a love affair with "Buffy" until she staked her last vampire. But "Alias" is like the boyfriend I used to love but now somehow managed to remain good friends with."
So funny yet so true. I still have the latest 2 episodes to watch, and while I always enjoy them when I do watch, there's no crazy enthusiasm to get to them right away. This TV season I've found my love for Gilmore Girls reignited, probably in part to Logan's character, and a newfound appreciation and love for the snarky goodness of Veronica Mars which is definitely filling that Buffy void.
*sigh* Just spent some time penciling in all the times I agreed to work at PCW for the next 2 weeks into my planner, despite the fact that I'm quitting. Why, oh why, do I do this to myself. After betaing Stef's most recent (and fantastic) chapter of Kismet, I realized the Event Integrity Challenge deadline is this Friday and I've got bupkiss. Not to mention a mountain of laundry to do, an Alicia Keys concert this Wednesday and exams that start next week. So what did I spend my day doing?
Reading fanfiction of course...

Missing You - Jem |

TIME magazine listed Veronica Mars and Lost among one of the "6 BEST DRAMAS ON TV NOW". Here's what they (aptly) said about VM:
"A high school girl detective (Kristen Bell) is trying to find the stranger who drugged and date-raped her, solve the murder of her best friend and unearth secrets of her own past in the process. It may sound like The O.C.S.I., but Mars is much better than its high-concept premise. Bell is a captivating star, with a girl scout's face and Philip Marlowe's jadedness. And like its godsister Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mars uses its pulp premise to dramatize a universal teen experience: that growing up means sleuthing out the mystery of who you really are."
Also, I just checked out the latest spoilery pictures over at NeptuneSite and it looks like... ( Speculation )
Either way, the wait is finally over, the new episodes start tomorrow and we get 7 straight weeks until everything is resolved. Then hopefully the show will be renewed and we'll get a new mystery next season. And some Veronica/Logan lovin'! LOL

GG is still on hiatus and I find Alias just isn't doing it for me anymore. I'll still watch it to the end, but I don't rush to watch the taped or DL episodes like I used to. From what I hear, the season is going to get better, especially with the return of a certain someone, but thus far it's been sorta "meh" for me. The best so far was the return of Snarky Sarky, minus the creepy moment when he was all feeling up Lauren's corpse professing his love for her. I was like WTF, when did THAT happen? But it was cool to see him back in action and that he was A Man of his Word.
I'm still feeling a bit under the weather but this week marks the return of Lost & Veronica Mars so I personally couldn't be more excited. Especially after reading the latest VM spoilers at Neptune Site Looks like we're in for one hell of a ride. Lately I've found this show to be completely engrossing and I can't wait for the new episodes to air. They totally deserved to win the Watch with Kristin: Save One Show poll, despite some bitter people's comments. Anyone who's not watching, needs to ( Get A Clue! )
